E82 Films Logo

Beginning at the outermost edge of the universe, we journey through the spiraling heart of the “Epcot Galaxy” passing the park’s original set of nine pavilion logos all coalescing together to explode outwards becoming the Progress City Supernova on the edge of which orbits majestic Spaceship Earth that pays homage to the park’s original teaser poster. The music was specially mixed for this premiere including cues from… TRON, 1982 — (by Wendy Carlos) The Time Machine, 2002 — (by Klaus Badelt) Flight of the Navigator, 1986 — (by Alan Silvestri) In later films the music will be replaced by more subject specific material.

Created in preparation for an upcoming series of short films for E82 — The Epcot Legacy, the E82 Films logo is an abstract journey through the galaxy and EPCOT’s complex history simultaneously including flybys of the park’s original pavilion logos, the complete transportation grid of Walt’s EPCOT (now referred to at Progress City) and Norm Inouye’s signature painting heralding the park’s opening in 1982.
